Becky Lynch is back, and she wasted no time reminding everyone exactly who she is. In a surprise return at WrestleMania Night 2, Lynch stepped into the ring alongside Lyra Valkyria and walked out as one-half of the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Lyra Valkyria, the current Women’s Intercontinental Champion, was left needing a tag partner after Bayley was suddenly ruled out due to a kayfabe injury on Saturday. With the title match against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez now wide open, Lynch made her unexpected entrance and completely changed the energy in the arena.
She didn’t hold back either. Lynch jumped right into the action, starting the match against Rodriguez with zero signs of ring rust. Morgan looked ready to start but backed off at the last second, clearly wanting nothing to do with her old rival. Valkyria tagged Lynch back in after a few quick exchanges, and from there, the crowd was all in.
Valkyria showed why she’s the Intercontinental Champ, landing some big offense before getting caught mid-ring by a brutal big boot from Rodriguez. Morgan tagged in and went straight after Valkyria, trying to wear her down and build toward a big finish.
Morgan and Rodriguez tossed Valkyria around with a flurry of suplexes, but she finally got the hot tag to Lynch — and that’s when things picked up.
Lynch exploded into the match, going after both Morgan and Rodriguez. She hit Morgan with a Bexploder and followed it with a clean baseball slide that got the crowd on its feet. Morgan looked rattled, and Lynch quickly locked in her signature Disarm-Her. Rodriguez stepped in to break it up, but was quickly taken out of the picture.
Morgan tried to turn the tide with an Ob-Liv-ion, but with Rodriguez down, Valkyria came in to break up the pin. That gave Lynch the opening she needed, and she nailed Morgan with a Manhandle Slam to seal the win.
The victory not only marks a big comeback moment for Becky Lynch but also puts Lyra Valkyria in an even brighter spotlight, now holding two major titles. It was an electric way to kick off Night 2 of WrestleMania and a reminder that when Becky’s around, anything can happen.
